Stolen equipment from England’s World Cup team has been recovered, according to BBC News, a CBS News partner. The gear was stolen during transport from Florida to Kansas City, as per Kansas City Mayor Quinton Lucas.
Authorities at local, state and federal levels are investigating the theft. Footwear and soccer balls were among items taken, but nothing game-critical was involved. Two arrests have been made in connection with the incident, BBC reported.
The England team is scheduled to arrive in Kansas City’s Swope Soccer Village around 5 p.m. local time on Saturday. They will have their first training session on Sunday and play their first World Cup match against Croatia in Arlington, Texas, on Wednesday.
