Envoys from Seven Countries Present Credentials to President Zardari

Envoys from Zimbabwe, Tajikistan, Rwanda, Argentina, Myanmar, Cambodia, and Botswana presented their diplomatic credentials to President Asif Ali Zardari at a ceremony held at Aiwan-e-Sadr.

President Zardari received credentials from the Ambassador-designate of Zimbabwe, Mr. Titus Mehliswa Jonathan Abu-Basutu; Ambassador-designate of Tajikistan, Mr. Sharifzoda Yusuf Toir; High Commissioner-designate of Rwanda, Ms. Harerimana Fatou; Ambassador-designate of Argentina, Mr. Sebastian Sayus; Ambassador-designate of Myanmar, Mr. Wunna Han; Ambassador-designate of Cambodia, Mr. Sok Chea; and Ambassador-designate of Botswana to Pakistan, Dr. Batlang Comma Serema.

Following the ceremony, the envoys held separate meetings with President Zardari. During these discussions, the President emphasized Pakistan’s investment opportunities and encouraged foreign countries to take advantage of the nation’s investment-friendly environment. He highlighted potential sectors for investment, including agriculture, livestock, information technology, energy, and mining.

President Zardari expressed Pakistan’s desire to broaden cooperation with friendly countries in diverse fields such as trade, investment, and culture. He stressed the importance of expanding economic cooperation and maximizing trade volumes with friendly nations. The President also called for increased interactions among business communities to strengthen economic and trade relations.

Congratulating the envoys on their appointments, President Zardari expressed hope that they would enhance mutually beneficial cooperation between their respective countries and Pakistan.

Earlier, the envoys were honored with a guard of honor by a contingent of the Pakistan Armed Forces upon their arrival at Aiwan-e-Sadr.
