The EU described this as its most senior institutional platform for engagement with Pakistan. The discussions will focus on future directions in bilateral relations, particularly trade, climate cooperation, and migration management.

Kallas is scheduled to meet President Asif Ali Zardari, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, and Chief of Defence Forces Field Marshal Asim Munir during her visit. These meetings underscore the EU’s political and strategic engagement with Pakistan at high levels.

The visit will also include interactions with think tanks and academic institutions in Islamabad. A joint press conference between Kallas and Ishaq Dar is expected after the dialogue session to brief media on outcomes and areas of consensus.
