Eva Longoria entered Hollywood with the goal of becoming financially independent. In a recent interview with Fortune, she revealed her part-time job as a headhunter while working on The Young and the Restless.
She explained, “The first day I landed in LA, I got a job. I was like, ‘I’m not going to be a struggling actor. I’m going to figure this out.'”
Her role involved negotiating 401(k)s and salaries, interviewing and reading resumes, and placing people. She recalled her boss at the temp agency actively discouraging her from pursuing Hollywood.
Despite his concerns, she pursued acting full-time after realizing it was financially viable. Her boss remained skeptical, stating that success in acting was a one-in-a-million chance compared to her business skills.
