Nancy Guthrie’s case has puzzled investigators since its inception. Her presumed kidnapper(s) have continued to evade authorities.
During her disappearance, officials received several ransom notes demanding a staggering sum for her freedom.
A recent note claimed Nancy was dead and “buried with nature”, similar to a previous note that also stated she was denied.
Ex-FBI agent Jennifer Coffindaffer believes the latest note is genuine but suggests it may be a desperate attempt by alleged kidnappers to avoid the death penalty if caught, according to NewsNation.
Coffinderffer claims the presumed captors are aware of Arizona’s laws where murder is punishable by death, and they may have hoped to get Bitcoin in return for Nancy’s supposed death.
The investigation into Nancy’s disappearance continues with no suspect arrested so far.
