LAHORE: The Excise Department has introduced a new mandate requiring online verification of documents for imported vehicles. This aims to enhance the integrity of vehicle registrations and prevent the use of counterfeit documents.

As part of this initiative, a ban has been imposed on registering imported vehicles in Lahore without prior online verification of their documentation. An official letter has been sent to customs authorities to request access to online verification systems to facilitate this process.
