Family’s Presence During Checkup Not Required in Jail, Says Sanaullah

Prime Minister’s Adviser Rana Sanaullah stated that family members are not required during routine medical examinations in jails, as per Pakistan Prison Rules. During Senate proceedings, he also mentioned that PTI founder and his spouse are receiving the best medical facilities as per jail manual.

Sanaullah reiterated Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s invitation for opposition talks on economy and political stability in the National Assembly. Regarding May 9 incidents, Sanaullah said state institution attacks are dealt under constitutional and legal framework, with only courts having authority to grant relief in criminal cases. Law Minister Azam Nazeer Tarar informed House that concerns about PTI founder’s prison conditions have been examined by judicial and international bodies.
