Fazal Refutes Reports, Says Afghan Operations Continue Unabated

Dr Tariq Fazal, Federal Minister of Parliamentary Affairs in Pakistan, has vehemently refuted social media reports suggesting that Islamabad had halted its operations against the Afghan Taliban. Instead, Fazal emphasized to his followers on X that sharing of Pakistan Air Force and drone footage with the media had been temporarily suspended due to heightened regional security concerns.

“This decision,” he wrote, “is aimed at upholding national security and operational strategy. The operations are indeed continuing unimpeded.”

Fazal underscored the intensity of these operations in a statement: “The Afghan Taliban terrorist elements continue to be dealt with in full force. Our efforts have advanced with wisdom and purpose.”

This assertion was bolstered by earlier remarks made by Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting, Attaullah Tarar, who reported 331 combatants killed and more than 500 injured since the onset of Operation Ghazab lil-Haq.

Tarar highlighted significant military victories achieved so far in this operation. He noted that security forces had destroyed 163 Taliban tanks and military vehicles, alongside 104 check posts and 22 outposts taken over by Pakistani forces. Additionally, air strikes targeted 37 locations across Afghanistan during the ongoing campaign.

In essence, Fazal’s post on X reiterates that despite recent reports, Pakistan’s relentless fight against the Afghan Taliban continues at full intensity.
