FBR Seals Over 30 Shops in Karachi for POS Violations

The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has sealed more than 30 shops in Karachi for non-compliance with Point of Sale (POS) regulations, according to the Regional Tax Office Zone-I.

Between January 1 and January 3, operations targeted several areas, including M.A. Jinnah Road, where two medical and surgical stores were shut down. A paint shop was sealed for failing to integrate with the POS system, while a showroom on Khalid Bin Waleed Road was closed for not issuing POS receipts.

Sweet and bakery outlets in Saddar and Clifton were also penalized for POS rule violations.

The FBR collected Rs25 million in penalties during the campaign and reiterated its commitment to enforcing tax compliance.
