FBR to Procure Over 1,000 Vehicles in Rs6 Billion Transformation Plan

The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has announced plans to acquire 1,010 new vehicles at a cost exceeding Rs6 billion as part of its transformation initiative aimed at enhancing the efficiency of field officers.

According to a Letter of Intent issued by the FBR, the procurement will take place in two phases, with an advance payment of Rs3 billion covering the full cost of the first 500 vehicles. The remaining payment will be made after the first batch is delivered.

The delivery schedule outlines the distribution of vehicles from January to May 2025. In the first phase, 75 vehicles will arrive in January, 200 in February, and 225 in March. The second phase will see 250 vehicles delivered in April and 260 in May.

An FBR spokesperson stated that these vehicles are exclusively for field officers, emphasizing that the purchase is a key component of the organization’s broader transformation plan to enhance operational capabilities.
