Federal Minister Abdul Aleem Khan has issued directives aimed at bolstering vehicle safety on Pakistan’s national highways and motorways. In a statement, he emphasized that all vehicles entering these networks must undergo stringent inspections, with particular focus on tire condition. “Vehicles with worn or expired tires will not be permitted on the motorway,” he declared. “It is crucial to protect both passengers and property.”

Aleem Khan underscored the need for thorough safety checks, not just on commercial vehicles but also private ones. He directed the National Highways and Motorway Police to enforce these stringent regulations uniformly across all routes. The minister highlighted that routine fitness inspections, enhanced monitoring of tire conditions, and compliance with other vehicle safety standards are integral to creating a safer driving environment.
