The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) and Pakistan Civil Aviation Authority (PCAA) have rolled out a new policy aimed at curbing the illegal overstaying of Pakistani citizens in foreign countries.
Under the new regulations, visit visa holders are now required to book return tickets on the same airline, ensuring compliance with visa conditions. The round-trip tickets must also feature the same Passenger Name Record (PNR) number.
Airlines have been instructed not to issue boarding passes to passengers who do not meet these criteria, with the policy focusing on popular travel destinations like Dubai, Malaysia, and Bangkok.
This move comes as part of a broader effort to prevent individuals from traveling abroad with no intention of returning to Pakistan. Authorities will closely monitor these routes to curb illegal overstays and ensure that travelers adhere to visa regulations.
Airlines have been notified, and the policy is expected to be strictly enforced. Travelers are urged to comply with the new rules to avoid complications during check-in and boarding.
