In an unequivocal display of solidarity, the Foreign Ministers from a constellation of Arab and Islamic nations have condemned Israel for its recent decisions concerning the occupied West Bank. Their statements, issued at the outset of February 9th, underscore their resolute opposition to any form of Israeli sovereignty over Palestinian territory.

The ministers stressed a clear violation of international law, specifically referencing UN Security Council Resolution 2334 and the 2024 advisory opinion of the International Court of Justice. Both documents have condemned Israeli actions aimed at altering the demographic balance and status of Palestinian territory since 1967, including East Jerusalem.

The ministers urged the international community to demand Israel’s cessation of its escalating activities in the occupied West Bank. They reaffirmed their support for self-determination rights for the Palestinian people, rooted in a two-state solution aligned with resolutions of international legitimacy and the Arab Peace Initiative.

Pakistan’s Foreign Minister has echoed these sentiments, emphasizing that only through this path can just and comprehensive peace be achieved, ensuring security and stability across the region.

This latest statement from the foreign ministers comes amidst ongoing tensions and escalations in the region. It reiterates the urgency for peaceful resolution and underscores the necessity of global engagement to counter Israel’s provocative measures.
