Italian footballer Joringho Frello has clarified his previous remarks about pop icon Chappell Roan following an incident at the Lollapalooza weekend in Brazil. The misunderstanding occurred when he believed Roan’s bodyguard behaved aggressively toward his daughter.

Frello issued a lengthy social media post detailing the event, which took place nearly a month ago. He stated that he initially made his statement in the heat of the moment after hearing about his child and wife being approached by an intimidating security guard. Frello emphasized that protecting his family was his top priority during this incident.

New information has since emerged, leading to a resolution between both parties. The footballer revealed that Chappell Roan reached out privately to their daughter Catherine, and the teams spoke directly with each other. It became clear that the guard in question belonged to a different artist and was not acting on behalf of Roan at the time.

Frello expressed regret for the backlash against Roan and her family due to his misunderstanding. He emphasized that it is crucial to clarify such matters fairly and accurately, acknowledging that he does not support hate speech or online attacks from any side. The matter appears closed, according to Frello.
