Four fatalities occurred across Karachi on Saturday due to separate vehicular accidents within a few hours.
In Sohrab Ghot, a motorcyclist was killed after his bike slipped on the road and he fell onto a footpath, resulting in instant death.
A car with excessive speed hit a motorcyclist in Baldia Raees; the driver fled but later turned himself over to the police. The body was then taken for medicolegal procedures.
In Malir, a boy was crushed by a car after an accident occurred; the driver escaped and is currently under investigation.
At Korangi Crossing, a man was killed when hit by a tanker; police are also investigating this incident.
This year has seen 415 traffic-related fatalities, with heavy vehicle accidents accounting for 132 deaths.
