Special Assistant to the Prime Minister, Rana Sanaullah, stated in a recent media interview that the government is making every effort to provide relief to the common man through the upcoming budget. He noted that due to ongoing security and war-related situations, a larger relief package could not be announced.
Sanaullah also highlighted the global economic difficulties but emphasized that Pakistan avoided default under the current government’s leadership. The economic team remains engaged in negotiations on various matters while public relief efforts continue.
Regarding terrorism, Sanaullah warned against Afghanistan becoming a tool of India and urged securing its borders to prevent cross-border movement which he believes is a major cause of recent terrorist incidents. He stressed unity against terrorism and praised the Pakistani armed forces for their brave and professional combat against terrorist elements.
