Hussain emphasized that economic development can only be achieved through increasing exports and assured the delegation that the government is addressing the challenges faced by the industry.

FPCCI President Atif Ikram Sheikh pointed out the need to align energy prices with those of regional countries to enhance competitiveness. He stressed that to eliminate dependency on the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and boost domestic exports, Pakistan must pursue industrialization. Sheikh added that if the government provides relief in electricity tariffs, the business community could meet an export target of $60 billion.
