Additionally, the government announced plans to establish a National Cyber Security Agency (NCSA) to coordinate efforts across various departments and agencies. The NCSA will be responsible for formulating policies and procedures aimed at safeguarding national digital assets from unauthorized access and malicious activities.

Meanwhile, there has been an increase in internet surveillance measures by the authorities. These include tracking of online communications such as emails, social media activities, and other forms of data transfer to identify any security breaches or suspicious patterns that could indicate cyber attacks on critical infrastructure.

These new regulations and establishment of the NCSA reflect Pakistan’s growing concern over cybersecurity threats targeting its digital landscape. The move is part of a broader strategy to protect national interests against potential cyber espionage, disruption, and other cyber-attacks in an era where technology plays a crucial role in governance and daily life.
