Government to Revamp PTV, Focus on Profitability and Opposition Coverage: Minister Tarar

Minister for Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar announced on Wednesday that the government is working on revamping Pakistan Television (PTV) with the aim of transforming it into a profitable media organisation.

Speaking in the National Assembly, Tarar revealed that several private media anchors have been brought in to provide PTV with a fresh perspective and to ensure that the opposition receives adequate coverage.

Additionally, Tarar stated that a minimum wage of Rs37,000 has been enforced, with a proposal already submitted to the PTV Board of Directors for formal approval to solidify this wagestructure.
