The Ministry of Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony has announced receiving over 72,000 applications for the Government Hajj Scheme, with the submission deadline set for Tuesday.
Applicants can submit forms at designated banks and join relatives’ groups for convenience. Ministry spokesperson Muhammad Umar Butt detailed the payment plan under the Regular Hajj Scheme, which requires an initial deposit of PKR 200,000, a second installment of PKR 400,000 within ten days of balloting, and the final payment by February 10.
Overseas Pakistanis are also encouraged to sponsor applications for themselves or relatives, enhancing accessibility to the pilgrimage. “This initiative ensures a smooth and transparent Hajj process while facilitating applicants,” said Butt.
