Grand Theft Auto VI is officially set for November 19, 2026. This announcement comes from Rockstar Games’ parent company, Take-Two Interactive, aiming to quell fears of another delay amid online speculation over pre-orders, trailers, and pricing.
Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick reiterated the release date during interviews with gaming outlets like Esquire India and Notebookcheck. Despite acknowledging that GTA 6 is roughly 18 months behind its original schedule, Zelnick suggested such delays are common for projects of this scale.
Excitement around GTA 6 has surged following reports that Best Buy may have leaked an upcoming pre-order window on May 18. However, industry insider Tom Henderson from Insider Gaming believes major marketing activity, including Trailer 3 and pre-orders, could be delayed until July or later.
Other leakers, such as billbil-kun and NateTheHate, also reported no evidence of a major GTA 6 announcement this month. Despite the uncertainty, fan anticipation continues to rise, with GTA 6 being one of the most anticipated entertainment releases in history.
The second trailer for GTA 6 was released in May 2025, generating over 475 million views across platforms within 24 hours. Set in Leonida, a modern interpretation of Florida, the game features Vice City and follows protagonists Jason Duval and Lucia Caminos.
Speculation has intensified over the game’s potential price, with rumors suggesting it could launch above the standard AAA price range, approaching $100. No official pricing has been announced by Rockstar Games or Take-Two Interactive.
