Habib University will host the Higher Education Commission’s (HEC) Progress Review Meeting for the first time from February 5 to 7, 2026. This three-day gathering brings together HEC leadership, vice-chancellors, directors of Quality Enhancement Cells, and representatives from nearly 50 public and private universities across Sindh and Balochistan.

The event underscores HEC’s commitment to strengthening quality assurance and governance in higher education institutions across Pakistan. The meeting begins with a welcome session at Habib University, where the host institution will present its mission, vision, and values to senior academic leaders. This presentation aims to place Habib’s educational philosophy within the broader national discourse on the future of higher learning.

Over three days, participants will attend structured sessions focusing on capacity building, pre-implementation planning, institutional progress, and regulatory compliance. The event concludes with a closing ceremony and the distribution of certificates to participating universities on February 7th.
