Prince Harry and Meghan Markle generated excitement among their fans with a royal-style appearance at the Sundance Film Festival. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex made their first official public appearance for a special screening of their new documentary, “Cookie Queens,” which was produced in partnership with Archewell Productions, Beautiful Stories, and AJNA Films.

The film focuses on four Girl Scouts as they navigate the pressures and lessons associated with the iconic cookie-selling season. Harry and Meghan, who served as executive producers on the 91-minute documentary, posed for photos with Amy Redford prior to its premiere at Sundance’s Family Matinee category.

Reports indicate that “Cookie Queens” holds personal significance for Meghan, who is a former Girl Scout herself. Her mother had been her troop leader. This event comes amid speculation regarding Meghan’s potential visit to the UK for an Invictus Games event in Birmingham in 2027. According to friends of the Duchess, she expressed concern about the level of scrutiny and judgment she might face during such a visit, fearing that every word she speaks and each outfit she wears would be subject to intense analysis.

A former palace insider commented on Meghan’s feelings: “She feels the U.K. is a place where she is judged without pause. She believes that every word she says and every piece of clothing she wears will be dissected in minute detail, leading her to find the prospect of facing such an environment deeply intimidating.”
