Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) predicts a heatwave in several cities from June 7 to June 12. Karachi’s temperatures are expected to range between 40°C and 43°C during this period.
In Sindh and Balochistan, temperatures could soar up to 48°C to 51°C, while Punjab districts may see readings of 44°C to 48°C.
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s lowlands will also face intense heat with temperatures likely between 41°C and 46°C. The PMD urges citizens to limit direct sunlight exposure, especially from 10am to 4pm, and advises staying hydrated to avoid heat-related illnesses.
