The proposed four-member delegation includes Minister Talha Mehmood, Dr. Fawzia Siddiqui, former Minister Anusha Rehman, and a medical professional. They are expected to meet U.S. officials within the next two weeks to explore potential avenues for Aafia’s return.

Justice Sardar Ijaz Ishaq Khan, overseeing the case, appointed Zainab Janjua Advocate as the focal representative for both parties. The court verified the visa status of the doctor accompanying the delegation, with Dr. Fawzia Siddiqui confirming it was in place.

Attorney General Awan expressed optimism for constructive discussions with U.S. counterparts, while Justice Khan adjourned the case until the end of November to monitor progress on the diplomatic front.
