Independent Leads in Punjab Assembly Elections, PTI Affiliates Secure Majority

Independent candidates emerge as front-runners in the Punjab Assembly elections, securing 138 out of 296 seats.

The political landscape in the Punjab Assembly reflects the dominance of independent candidates, many of whom are affiliated with Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), while Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) follows closely with 137 seats.

Pakistan Peoples’ Party (PPP) has secured victory in 10 constituencies, with other notable performances including Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid (PML-Q) with eight seats, Istehkam-e-Pakistan Party (IPP) with one seat, and Pakistan Muslim League-ZIA (PML-Z) securing one seat.

Additionally, Tehreek-e-Labbaik Pakistan (TLP) has clinched one seat in the Punjab Assembly.
