India has carried out a missile strike targeting Pakistani territory from across the border, confirmed Director General of Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry on Wednesday.

The missiles landed in Kotli, Muzaffarabad, and Bahawalpur, according to the DG ISPR, who described the attack as a “cowardly act” and assured it would not go unanswered.

Lieutenant General Chaudhry stated that the Pakistan Air Force swiftly activated its defense systems, successfully deterring any Indian aircraft from breaching Pakistani airspace.

“Pakistan will respond at a time and place of its choosing,” he said, warning that “India’s misadventure will be met with a befitting response.”

On the other hand, according to aviation sources, the airspace was closed and all flights were canceled. A regular NOTAM was also issued, closing the airspace for 48 hours.

The situation is developing, and further updates are expected.
