Israeli PM Speaks on Iran Naval Commander Death

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu stated that Alireza Tangsiri played a crucial role in blocking the Strait of Hormuz. This follows an Israeli airstrike targeting Tangsiri, who was confirmed dead by Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) Navy.

Tangsiri’s death comes after Israel claimed it had targeted an Iranian naval commander in a recent operation. Analysts suggest that losing a senior IRGC military official is a significant blow to Iran and could intensify regional instability if Iran responds.

The incident follows escalating exchanges between Iran and Israel, with both sides claiming strikes on key military targets. Earlier, Israeli Defense Minister Katz said Tangsiri was killed along with other Iranian Navy officers in an air strike aimed at blocking commercial ships’ movement through the Strait of Hormuz.
