Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister Kazem Gharibabadi stated that Iran believes in diplomacy based on national interest. He also mentioned that a new proposal has been submitted to Pakistan, with the decision now resting with the United States on whether to pursue diplomacy or continue tension.

Gharibabadi emphasized that Iran is prepared for any kind of aggression and will defend its people and territory if necessary. The Iranian News Agency reported this briefing to foreign ambassadors in Tehran regarding negotiations.

The proposal aims to permanently end a war, but it ultimately depends on the United States’ decision-making process. Despite this, Gharibabadi noted that Iran’s distrust of the United States remains due to past betrayals during diplomacy.
