Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister Kazem Gharibabadi stated that Iran believes in diplomacy based on national interest. He also mentioned that a new proposal has been submitted to Pakistan, with the decision now resting with the United States on whether to pursue diplomacy or continue tension.

Gharibabadi emphasized that Iran is prepared for any kind of aggression and will defend its people and territory if necessary. The Iranian News Agency reported this briefing to foreign ambassadors in Tehran regarding negotiations.
