Dr. Seyyed Ebrahim Raisi, the President of Iran, arrived in Islamabad on Monday morning for a significant three-day official visit to Pakistan, greeted with a warm reception at Noor Khan Airbase.
Accompanied by his wife and a delegation of high-ranking officials, President Raisi’s visit aims to strengthen bilateral relations between Iran and Pakistan. Scheduled meetings include engagements with President Asif Ali Zardari, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, Chairman Senate Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani, Speaker National Assembly Sardar Ayaz Sadiq, and Chief of Army Staff General Asim Munir.
Beyond Islamabad, President Raisi will also visit Lahore and Karachi, where he will engage with provincial leadership to further enhance cooperation and collaboration between the two neighboring countries.
Moreover, a public holiday on 23rd April has been declared by the government in Karachi.

Notably, this visit holds particular ignificance as it marks the first official visit by a foreign leader to Pakistan following the February 8 polls.
