The Islamabad High Court (IHC) has annulled the results of the Medical and Dental College Admission Test (MDCAT) 2024 and ordered a re-test. The IHC ruled that the test was out of syllabus, directing Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto Medical University to reconduct the exam within a month for applicants based in Islamabad.

The court’s decision came after the Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PMDC) also declared the paper out of syllabus. Justice Arbab Muhammad Tahir issued the one-page order, specifying that students who had already paid the examination fee would not be charged again for the retest.
