New business hours have been implemented in Islamabad, with markets and shopping malls closing at 8pm starting Monday. This change was announced by the district administration as a measure to manage commercial activities and energy usage.
Pharmacies, hospitals, medical laboratories, and stores are exempt from these new restrictions, allowing them to operate as usual. Similarly, petrol pumps, CNG stations, dairy shops, takeaway services, gyms, sports facilities, IT companies, call centers will continue their operations without interruption.
Restaurants, food outlets, tandoors, grocery stores, fruit and vegetable shops, bakeries are required to close by 10pm. Wedding halls and marquees must also cease operations at this time.
The district administration stated that these revised timings took effect immediately and remain in force until further notice. These measures aim to regulate commercial activity and energy consumption in the capital city.
