In 2014, Kanye West made a bold claim about his former collaborator, Jay-Z, stating the latter was the poster child of winning while he was known for fighting and winning but always seeing the fight. Now over a decade later, Jay-Z has finally addressed this comment.

Telling GQ Magazine, Jay-Z gave examples from his tracks You Must Love Me, Regrets, and Soon You’ll Understand, explaining that these songs give an insight into pain and hard lessons he endured.
