Jamaat-e-Islami Organizes Large-Scale Protests Across Sindh
On Friday, Jamaat-e-Islami staged large-scale protests across Sindh against petroleum levy, inflation, and oppressive taxation. Demonstrations took place from Karachi to Kashmore, including Jacobabad, Kandhkot-Kashmore, Dadu, Shikarpur, Larkana, Shahdadkot, Jamshoro, Tando Allahyar, Nawabshah, Badin, Thatta, and Tando Adam.
According to JI statement, party workers and leaders at district and local levels led rallies where participants strongly condemned rising fuel prices, unemployment, and inflation. Protesters carried placards and chanted slogans against the government, demanding an end to price hikes, withdrawal of taxes, and reduction in petroleum prices.
Leaders said continuous increases in petrol and diesel prices severely impacted the common man, pushing transport fares and essential commodities beyond the reach of ordinary citizens. They argued that rising electricity and gas prices had already made life unbearable.
