JI Warns of Expanding Sit-Ins to Karachi

Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) Emir Hafiz Naeemur Rehman announced on Sunday that the party will expand its sit-ins to Karachi beginning July 31. The protest in Karachi will take place in front of the Governor’s House Sindh. Similar sit-ins are planned for Lahore, Karachi, and Peshawar.

Hafiz Naeem said the party is not interested in disrupting daily life but aims to free Pakistan from feudal lords.

After the first round of talks on Sunday, the government decided to release all arrested Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) workers.

Additionally, JI Deputy Emir Liaquat Baloch stated that the party will continue its anti-inflation sit-in in Rawalpindi following the initial discussions with the government.
