The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has forecasted intermittent strong winds in Karachi throughout Monday, intensifying the city’s cold spell.
As of now, Karachi’s temperature stands at 12°C, though the wind chill makes it feel like 10°C. The maximum temperature is expected to reach 26°C.
PMD Chief Meteorologist Sardar Sarfraz stated that nighttime temperatures might drop to single digits starting January 15. A system of western winds is predicted to arrive on January 17, potentially easing the intensity of the cold.
The Met Office has also predicted dry weather conditions with a cool night over the next 24 hours. Humidity levels are at 40%, with northeastern winds blowing at 9 km/h.
