Karachi Braces for Strong Winds and Cooler Nights, PMD Forecasts

The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has forecasted intermittent strong winds in Karachi throughout Monday, intensifying the city’s cold spell.

As of now, Karachi’s temperature stands at 12°C, though the wind chill makes it feel like 10°C. The maximum temperature is expected to reach 26°C.

PMD Chief Meteorologist Sardar Sarfraz stated that nighttime temperatures might drop to single digits starting January 15. A system of western winds is predicted to arrive on January 17, potentially easing the intensity of the cold.

The Met Office has also predicted dry weather conditions with a cool night over the next 24 hours. Humidity levels are at 40%, with northeastern winds blowing at 9 km/h.
