Pakistan’s Airports Authority announces plans to install advanced air traffic control systems at Karachi and Lahore airports. The initiative aims to enhance safety and operational efficiency amid growing aerial activity.
Officials confirmed that the new systems will include an advanced flight management system for the Flight Information Regions of both cities, significantly improving guidance and surveillance capabilities.
The Pakistan Airports Authority’s Central Development Working Party has approved the project’s PC-1, paving the way for its implementation. An international tender is expected to be issued soon, with installation set to begin shortly thereafter.
