Assistant Commissioner Saddar spearheaded this enforcement drive, stressing that maintaining strict compliance with fire regulations is imperative for ensuring the protection of lives and property within the city.

Meanwhile, a judicial commission investigating the tragic incident at Gul Plaza has announced its plans for an on-site inspection today (Saturday). Headed by Justice Agha Faisal, the commission’s primary mission will be to conduct a comprehensive examination of the entire building.

It aims to meticulously review rescue and search operations following the fire breakout in Gul Plaza, inspect internal corridors, and evaluate other logistical measures. These inspections are designed to provide an all-encompassing view of what transpired during the incident.

Sources indicate that after completing its on-site visit, the judicial commission will issue summonses to various government departments including the Fire Brigade, Karachi Metropolitan Corporation (KMC), rescue agencies, SBCA, and others involved in the response.
