Karachi to Witness Improved Sewerage with KW&SC’s Fleet Management Portal

Karachi Water & Sewerage Board (KW&SC) is set to introduce a Fleet Management Portal, aiming to significantly enhance the city’s sewerage system and expedite the resolution of sewerage issues.

Mayor Karachi and Chairman of KW&SC, Barrister Murtaza Wahab, made these announcements during a high-level meeting held at the Chairman Secretariat Karsaz.

The meeting was attended by Deputy Mayor Karachi Salman Abdullah Murad, Special Assistant to Mayor Karachi for Political Affairs Karamullah Waqasi, PP Leader Syed Najmi Alam, CEO KW&SC Engineer Syed Sallahuddin Ahmed, COO KW&SC Engineer Asadullah Khan, Chief Engineer Sewerage Aftab Chandio, Dil Muhammad, Sikandar Baloch, Juman Durman, along with all the Superintending and Executive Engineers.

Mayor Karachi directed all the superintending and executive engineers of KW&SC to address sewerage problems across the city on an urgent basis.

He emphasized the need for cleaning sewer lines, repairing broken manholes, replacing sunken sewer lines, and addressing other related issues promptly, while ensuring better facilities for citizens in collaboration with all Town and UC Chairpersons.

Highlighting the collaborative efforts with the World Bank and Karachi Water Sewerage Services Improvement (KWSSIP), Mayor Karachi stressed that effective measures are being taken to enhance the city’s sewerage system. He announced the upcoming launch of the Fleet Management Portal by KW&SC, which will revolutionize the management of sewerage operations.

Mayor Karachi reiterated KW&SC’s commitment to resolving water supply and sewerage issues in the city, emphasizing the utilization of all available resources for the city’s improvement. He underscored that addressing sewerage problems is a priority outlined in their manifesto, and KW&SC is dedicated to achieving this goal.

Furthermore, Mayor Karachi noted the positive outcomes of KW&SC’s strengthening under the new act, highlighting the board’s improved performance. He expressed confidence in the board’s ability to deliver tangible results and enhance the quality of life for Karachi’s residents through efficient sewerage management.
