Karachi’s Winter Pause Ends as New Cold Wave Looms

Karachi has experienced a brief respite from the cold over the past two days, particularly during the daytime, leaving many wondering if winter is coming to an end. However, weather analyst Jawad Memon has reassured Karachiites that the cold is far from over.

In a recent update, Memon advised residents not to pack away their blankets and winter clothes just yet. A new western disturbance is expected to enter Pakistan by January 31 or February 1, 2025, bringing another intense cold wave to Karachi and other parts of southern Pakistan.

According to the latest analysis, this upcoming cold spell could rival the severity of the two previous intense waves the region experienced this winter. Rain is also likely during this period, further adding to the chill.

Memon emphasized that his team is closely monitoring this development and will provide timely updates. “Indeed, Allah knows and commands all,” he concluded.
