K-Electric has launched a new service enabling customers to download their tax certificates through the KE Live App with just four simple clicks.

KE spokesperson commented, “We’re pleased to expand the portfolio of services on the KE Live App, which reduces the need for customers to physically visit our centers by offering them a digital solution at their fingertips. Customers can also apply for new connections, request name changes, and receive real-time updates on their power supply from any location.”

Currently, residential customers who are non-filers are charged 7.5% taxes on their electricity consumption if the amount equals or exceeds PKR 25,000 in any month. Similarly, industrial and commercial customers are taxed based on their electricity usage.

All taxes on customer bills comply with the Income Tax Ordinance and current Pakistani laws, with distribution companies responsible for collecting and depositing these taxes with the Government.A Active taxpayers whose KE account details match their CNIC information can apply for exemption from the Advance Income Tax via the KE website. This option is also available to those living in rented properties if their CNIC address matches the KE Bill details.

The KE spokesperson encouraged customers to utilize the company’s website and social media channels for further assistance, emphasizing that K-Electric is committed to providing a more convenient and hassle-free customer experience through digital solutions.
