KP Cabinet Approves Free Education and Vehicle Registration Overhaul

The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa cabinet, under the leadership of Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur, has approved significant measures aimed at enhancing education and modernizing vehicle registration systems in the province.

During its fourth meeting, the cabinet endorsed the provision of free education at quality institutions for talented students from government schools in grades seven to 12.

The cabinet also gave the green light for transitioning from manual registration boxes to automatic motor vehicle registration smart cards, streamlining vehicle registration processes for improved efficiency and convenience.

Additionally, several key decisions were made during the meeting to address various issues in the province. The cabinet approved the purchase of 600,000 metric tons of wheat and fixed the price of 40kg wheat at Rs3,900, ensuring food security and stable wheat supplies.

Furthermore, projects aimed at enhancing energy production and infrastructure development were sanctioned, including the restoration of the 17MW Ranolia Hydropower Project and the acquisition of land for the 88MW Gabral-Kalam Hydropower Project.

Moreover, the utilization of funds from the erstwhile FATA Development Authority under the AIP in the merged districts was approved, along with the acquisition of land for the construction of a judicial complex in Panah Kot, Upper Dir, to improve access to justice and judicial services in the region.
