Chief Minister Sohail Afridi of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) presented a series of complaints to Federal Planning Minister Ahsan Iqbal during a meeting in Peshawar on Monday. Afridi accused the federal government of holding up a No Objection Certificate (NOC) for a bus terminal, denying KP its share of gas despite producing over 500 MMCFD, and withholding development funds under the Annual Improvement Programme (AIP).

KP’s share in the NFC Award has been withheld unconstitutionally for eight years. Afridi also stated that if Punjab refuses to supply wheat as per constitutional obligations, these articles should be removed from the constitution.

Federal Minister Ahsan Iqbal assured Afridi that the bus terminal NOC would be issued within 24 hours and all outstanding concerns would be raised with the prime minister and relevant institutions.
