Intense heat continues to grip Lahore as temperatures soar over the past two days, making outdoor activities during afternoon hours challenging for residents.
Following recent rainfall on Thursday and Friday, a significant rise in both temperature and heat index across the city has been observed.
The Meteorological Department predicts a mix of sunshine and clouds persisting across Punjab in the coming days.
Saqib Hussain, Deputy Director of the Meteorological Department, reported light to heavy rainfall in some districts of Punjab, with potential for light rain in Lahore in the upcoming days.
Forecasted maximum temperature in Lahore is set at 38 degrees Celsius on Monday, while heat index or “feels-like” temperature could peak at 41 degrees Celsius. Humidity levels stand at 48%, exacerbating the uncomfortable weather conditions.
