In Lahore, the city is now in a heightened state of vigilance following the tragic suicide bomb attack that struck a mosque and an imambarah in Islamabad on Friday. Security measures have been ramped up across Lahore by the Lahore Capital City Police Officer (CCPO), Bilal Siddique Kamyana.

Special arrangements have been made at important religious sites, mosques, and public gatherings throughout the city to ensure maximum security. Police authorities are instructed to keep a close eye on public places, markets, and entry points, with surveillance extended through the Safe City Authority’s camera network.

Kamyana emphasized that police teams should closely monitor hotspots identified by supervisors who are actively patrolling in key areas. The CCPO directed citizens to report any suspicious activities promptly by dialing 15 or contacting their local police station immediately.

The deadly incident, which claimed 32 lives and injured over 170 people during Friday prayers at a mosque and imambarah in Islamabad, has spurred an urgent reassessment of security protocols across Lahore. The stark reality of such terror attacks is forcing residents to re-evaluate their safety measures once more.

As the city recovers from this devastating act of violence, authorities are working tirelessly to prevent further incidents while also supporting victims and their families through a range of community services.
