
Lahore High Court to Hear Petition on April 13
The Lahore High Court has scheduled a hearing for a petition seeking information regarding deaths and injuries during Basant. The case will be heard by Justice Malik Awais Khalid on April 13, as filed by the Judicial Activism Panel.
Lawyer Azhar Siddique stated that 17 people died and over 100 were injured during the festival. He questioned the lack of action report from authorities, including details about registered cases and punishments for those responsible.
The court has already summoned the DIG Operations and Deputy Commissioner Lahore in their personal capacity.
