Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim will likely visit Pakistan from October 2 to 4, with both countries aiming to strengthen ties. According to sources, several agreements will be signed, covering areas such as bilateral trade, investment, and economic cooperation.
During his visit, discussions will also focus on issues affecting the Muslim Ummah and the situation in Palestine.
Earlier this year, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif extended an invitation to his Malaysian counterpart during a meeting on the sidelines of the World Economic Forum summit in Riyadh. The leaders agreed to deepen relations and hold the next Joint Ministerial Commission meeting in Islamabad.
“The prime minister reiterated his invitation to Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim to pay an official visit to Pakistan,” the Prime Minister’s Office stated. Both leaders had earlier discussed cooperation in education, science and technology, livestock, and trade, with plans to enhance these sectors further. Sharif also encouraged Malaysian businessmen to visit Pakistan and explore avenues for expanding trade and investment.
