Maluma Discloses Mental Health Struggles from Years of Nonstop Touring
The 32-year-old Colombian rapper and singer-songwriter appeared on The Jennifer Hudson Show to promote his latest album, Loco X Volver.
Discussing the impact of years-long touring on his mental health, Maluma revealed that he had been working on new music for almost two years. This project is dedicated to his grandparents, culture, city, and Colombian music.
Maluma shared that after 14 years of continuous touring, he decided to stop and focus on finding himself again, leading to the birth of his daughter, Paris. He also experienced panic attacks for the first time at the end of 2024, which prompted him to seek professional therapy and turn to music for help.
The rapper emphasized that this project is deeply personal and has brought about positive changes in his life, as he no longer experiences panic attacks and feels great. Maluma expressed excitement about the project, stating it’s a good season for him.
His girlfriend, Susana Gómez, shares two-year-old Paris with him. Loco X Volver was released on May 15, 2026.
