In a shocking verdict delivered in an exceptionally old rape-cum-murder case, Additional Sessions Judge Mohsin Ali sentenced Sufiyan Ali to two life sentences plus a fine of Rs800,000. The judge’s decision came just over four years after the crime was committed.
The victim, a six-year-old girl who was kidnapped by her uncle and aunt from her home in 265/EB, endured unimaginable suffering at Sufiyan Ali’s hands. He had lured her to his shop with promises of candy but instead locked her up, then brutally murdered the child before strangling her.
Prosecutor Zahid Mehmood brought the case to court, alleging that Sufiyan Ali and his accomplice Umair kidnapped the girl under the pretense of offering her some sweets. After months of investigation at Sadar Police Station, involving Amjad Ali’s nephews as complainants, all evidence was gathered and presented before the judge.
The sentence handed down by Judge Mohsin Ali serves not only as a formality but also as a reminder that perpetrators will face severe repercussions for crimes against children. This case underscores the importance of vigilance in safeguarding minors from exploitation and violence.
